The Graduates are taking the show on the road!
(March 7, 2024)

The Graduates are hitting the road!  This weekend we're headed up to Arroyo Grande for our first travel date.  In April, we're doing two shows in the Chicago area, and in September we're booked in Minneapolis!  Hopefully coming to a city near you!  (May I suggest good ol' Orange County CA?!)  Looking forward to some music tourism and happy that this show has legs!

Dave's Song Played at the Yorba Linda City Council Meeting
(December 5, 2023)

Dave's alternate lyrics version of John Denver's classic 'Take Me Home, Country Roads' was played at the Yorba Linda City Council meeting during the ceremony for outgoing mayor Gene Hernandez.  I had been playing this song live in Yorba Linda for a couple of years and introducing it by saying "if anyone has a connection to the Yorba Linda City Council, please let me know - I'd like to make this next song a Yorba Linda anthem!"  To my surprise, Louise Hernandez approached me afterwards and said, "My husband is the Mayor of Yorba Linda!"  Thank you Louise for giving me a reason to record the song and put together this video!

M Street survives Cook's Corner mass shooting
(August 23, 2023)

M Street was playing our first set at Cook's Corner when a retired Ventura police officer opened fire just feet from the stage.  Sadly and senselessly three were killed and six were wounded, including me and M Street guitarist Ed Means.  Ed and I are amazingly fortunate to have minor wounds and we will both fully recover.

(September 3, 2023)

M Street returned to the stage at the Biergarten at Old World in Huntington Beach just a week and a half after surviving a mass shooting at Cook's Corner to play a show to benefit victims of the shooting that were much less fortunate than we were.

Dave joins The Graduates
(February 7, 2023)

I'm excited to be involved with this start-up Simon & Garfunkel tribute produced for theater audiences.  Stephen Bock and Kyle Frost play the main characters and I play guitar in the band.  Our first show is at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center on February 22nd and has sold out.  Rehearsals are going well and I'm really looking forward to hitting the stage with these guys!

New Single:  Fly High
(January 12, 2022)

Two years ago my cousin Chris took his own life. I didn't see it coming. We had seen each other and talked for a good while just three weeks before at Christmas.  He was in the prime of life. He was smart, successful, athletic and good-looking. He was everything most people appreciate, admire and even envy. That was the view from the outside. And he took his own life. I didn't see it coming. This song is for him.  Streaming everywhere.

Introducing PureBread
(August/September, 2021)

PureBread, a tribute to the 70's soft rock band Bread, played its first full show at the Lake Arrowhead Village Summer Concert Series on Labor Day.  We had shorter slots at Grand Oak Live and the Historic Hemet Theater earlier in the year, we are now fully launched and hoping to come to a town near you!  We play the 13 songs that charted along with some lesser-known gems that I like as much or more than their hits.  I sing the James Griffin songs while Ray sings the part of David Gates.

New Album, "Life, Still..." is here!!!

September, 2018:

Dave's new album, "Life, Still..." has just dropped!!  It is available for download on CD Baby (follow link to the right), and other digital formats like iTunes, Amazon & Spotify.  Physical CDs will be available at Dave's gigs (check out the [GIGS] page for info...).

On this record, you'll hear catchy tunes that have elements of blues, rock, country, and even a solo guitar instrumental. From the sultry blues of "She" to the brooding "The World Moves On," to the toe-tapping rock & roll of "Nothing I Can Do," this album has a surprise around every turn. Enjoy the variety, energy and songwriting of this next step in Dave's journey!
